“towel, bundle & sponge” is a short film about three VCD students, trying to make a project together. These students, Ecem, Mert and Deniz are borderline different from one another yet they are equally insecure and vulnerable at heart. The main purpose of the film is to reflect these insecurities often come with youth while exploring group dynamics. Since all the characters in the film are lack of experience and wisdom, they struggle to co-operate and create situations that can be easy to make fun of but also easy to relate. While starting to write a script for the film, my biggest desire was to show that this is a story of the young and clueless since there is a lot of confusion along with excitement comes with these adjectives, but most importantly, there is room to feel all that at the same time in their hearts.
