The Department of Textile and Fashion Design founded in 2001, is one of the first departments in our university.  Considering the increasing importance of design issues in our country, the aim of department is to educate young talent as potential employees for the industry, and to graduate them with the knowhow to create international fashion brands. Companies are eager to work with young designers who are experienced in producing contemporary designs and who are also capable of expressing their projects and ideas with creative design solutions. As a department we believe that our graduates can propose designs for related markets with accurate brand strategies, can develop marketing and management strategies and have the capacity to create international fashion brands. At the same time, we are honored to follow the success stories of our graduates. This year textile and fashion design department developed a joint project with Üniteks for the ready-made clothing industry. Instructor Jörn Fröhlich coordinated the 4th year graduation project, managing the design, production, and presentation of the student collections. Within the scope of the project implemented between October 2021 and June 2022, Üniteks provided online and face-to-face trainings to students on various sectoral subjects. In addition, their design team mentored the students and supported them throughout the industrial production process. On behalf of all the academic and technical staff of the Textile and Fashion Design Department, we would like to congratulate our six students on their graduation and wish them success in their upcoming professional life.
