In the following pages, you will find the work of the graduating class of 2022. Theirs was an eventful four years during which they had to grapple with the Covid-19 pandemic, adjust to digital education, and then return to the studio environment for the last year of their studies. I believe they emerged from the experience more resilient and with a formative insight into the challenges facing our world today and in the future. Graduation Projects of Spring 2022 give a glimpse of what awaits us beyond the horizon as seen by a new generation of architects. They are the result of intense studio work organized around the main theme of “Alternative(s)” with three parallel units – Critical, Green Urban, and Advance Technological Practices – focusing respectively on the project themes of Ctrl-Alt-ARCH, H20, and Urban Waterfront. To our graduates: We believe you are ready to take your place in the professional world. For many of you, university days are over. But we hope to have prepared you for a life of self-directed learning. The boundaries of the profession continue to expand and you have the skills, tools and understanding to lead and steer change in the right direction. Good luck in your future career.
