Starting with Wallace Stevens' poem, “Thirteen Ways of Looking at a Blackbird”, the image of the blackbird’s flight has the power to surprise individuals because it is commonplace, yet unexpected in its complex, emotion-stirring beauty. The project is based on the observation that this sense of "sight" brings to humankind. Shared and private areas are distributed around a central mass. Together with the casual circulation, users are encouraged to explore and discover. Direct circulation paths provide convenient access to the areas. The broken roof gives the structure a striking profile. Additionally, the visual sense and circulation provoke a sense of curiosity -a sense prioritized in the project because the more we wonder, the more we see.
